The Irish Farmers Association says it has received assurances from the Taoiseach that farmers won't be left to suffer because of the controversies surrounding the Agriculture Ministry.
Dara Calleary stepped down from the position yesterday - just over a month after his predecessor, Laois Offaly TD Barry Cowen, was sacked from the role.
It'll now be held by Micheal Martin until the Dail resumes next month.
