That's according to Henry Burns, Laois County Chair of the IFA who believes the Mercosur deal will be a huge loss to Irish agriculture.
The Irish Government says a blocking minority against the EU trade deal exists, but admits it may not hold under pressure from the European Commission and pro-deal countries.
The Commission recently introduced new measures aimed at easing farmer concerns over the deal, including a 6 billion euro fund if there's "market disturbance" coming from the agreement.
