June Rodgers is hoping more people follow her lead.
A dog abandoned in a Laois dump covered in bite marks has found a happy ending with a well known Irish entertainer.
Seven year old Bella was discovered whimpering back in January and -- after noticing a post on Roscrea SPCA -- comedian June Rodgers decided to adopt her.

She now brings Bella back to Portlaoise each week for canine coaching.
Ms.Rodgers says her new friend is quite talented - you may even see a Bella themed fitness video very soon:
She is also asking people to adopt from a shelter if they're thinking of getting a dog.
Ms. Rodgers says people should be encouraged to foster more:
