Prisoners at the Midlands and Portlaosie facility have been unable to see family
Prisoners at the Midlands and Portlaoise Prisons will be able to have visitors again from next week.
Since the outbreak of covid-19, the Irish Prison Service ceased physical visits and introduced a video calling option instead.
This will change on July 20th when family members will be allowed attend the prison for 15 minutes under strict health and safety precautions.
To date no case of coronavirus has been confirmed within a prison here.
