A Laois Jazz Festival is returning after 30 years.
The live music event is taking place in different venues across Portlaoise from Friday to Sunday.
Portlaoise Jazz festival is kicking off tonight as Indigo Mood will take to the stage at half past six in the Dunamaise Mezzanine, followed by Lee Meehan live at eight o'clock in Dunamaise Arts Centre.
The Conor Guilfoyle Octet will perform a tribute to Miles Davis Birth of the Cool era at 3 oclock on Saturday at the Laois music centre, which is is one of over 30 acts performing over the weekend.
The St. Joseph’s accordion band will be performing outside the library, Saturday morning at 10 O'clock.
The festival will continue on Sunday evening with acts such as Big Spoon in Bergins bar at 7, Tiny Crimes performing in Delaneys and Shellys at 10 oclock and Faster Shorter Louder in Sally Gardens also at 10pm.
