John Condron says he is prepared to come up with a solution to withdraw his appeal.
An Offaly business owner says the lack of boundary separation between his business and the proposed Midlands Hospice will add to the distress of families of patients in the facility.
Owner of Condron Concrete, John Condron has lodged an appeal against the plans for the 20 bed facility on the Arden Lane in Tullamore.
It comes following an initial appeal by Tom Martin a trustee of Tullamore Pitch and Putt Club on Arden Lane which was later withdrawn.
In the appeal it's recommended an acoustic barrier of at least 4m on the western and northern boundaries of the site, along with trees and the provision of a fountain would assist in masking the sound from his yard.
Mr Condron says he is prepared to come up with a solution if the HSE engages with him:
