There were a number of attacks on staff last month.
The Justice Minister is describing recent assaults on prison officers at the Midlands Prison as very concerning.
Last month, three staff were injured in separate incidents in the National Violence Reduction Unit at the facility.
This follows on from 76 reported attacks over a three year period between 2015 and 2018.
