Justice Minister Won't Rule Out Former Midlands Barracks For Ukrainian Refugees

65,000 people have come into the country in 2022 so far.

The Justice Minister hasn't ruled out the possibility Ukrainian refugees could be housed in a former midlands barracks.

A suggestion to establish modular homes in Columb Barracks in Mullingar has been put forward in a bid to tackle the accommodation crisis.

Cabinet ministers will meet remotely today to consider new measures to deal with the issue.
