Labour Join Calls For Extension Of Fuel Allowance

They want the fuel season extended by a month and those receiving PUP to be eligible.

Labour is joining calls for extended eligibility for the fuel allowance. 

Westmeath Cllr Denis Leonard wants the fuel season extended by one month for those already getting the allowance and for it to be given to those in receipt of PUP.

He estimates that people are €49 worse off in 2021 despite an increase to the fuel allowance in the budget.
