Laois Councillor Calls For Dutch Model To Alleviate Midlands Flooding Issues

It requires the development of canals and flood plains.

Cllr Aisling Moran is suggesting a Dutch model, which would see canals or flood plains being developed beside rivers that flood regularly.

She says the Room for the River project is just one option local authorities could consider.
