The fundraiser is aiming to raise €10,000.
Laois firefighters are set to play in a charity soccer match.
They have been challenged to play local teenager Robert Norman and a team he has put together for the event.
Robert is living with autism and the funds raised will go towards Family Carers Ireland on behalf of all autistic children.
Sub Station Officer in Laois Fire and Rescue, Ed Gallagher, says Robert came up with the idea and approached them for help:
