Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
Gardaí are investigating the assault of a 'vulnerable adult' in Laois.
It occurred on Connolly Street in Mountmellick on Wednesday, June 26th, at around 8.30pm in the evening.
Officers say they have made progress in the investigation since the incident two months ago.
However, they are urgently appealing for information, or camera or dashcam footage, to be made available to them.
