Over €60,000 worth of drugs have been seized in Laois.
Gardaí from Laois Drugs Unit and Portarlington Garda Station recovered a quantity of suspected cannabis herb worth €58,000 and cocaine worth €4,000 during the search of a house in Portarlington today.
A man in his 30s was arrested in relation to the incident and detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
He's since been charged to appear before Portlaoise District Court on drugs and burglary offences.
