Midlands farmers could be set to lose €27.5 million.
The Laois chair of the Irish Farmers Association is pushing for further action to prevent the current EU Common Agricultural Plan.
Figures from the IFA's online hub on CAP shows Laois farmers would lose an estimated €9.6 million every year, under proposals set to go ahead in 2028.
It would stand at €9.1 million in Offaly, and €8.8 million for farmers in Westmeath.
Henry Burns Chair of Laois IFA, feels a meeting of the EU Council in October chaired by the Taoiseach could be a chance to advance negotiations.
