The Portlaoise-based St. Joseph's Accordion Band has been playing for the last 63 years, but is now facing extinction with dwindling numbers.
The group was forced to cancel its commitments at Laois County Football Final for the first time in 50 years, earlier this month.
Bandmaster Peter Smith says they're having trouble replacing long-term members as they retire - and is urging players of all ages and abilities to consider joining:
