Leo Varadkar was commenting ahead of a meeting with the Justice Minister and Laois Fine Gael TD Charlie Flanagan and Garda Commissioner over a series of security issues in recent days.

The threats to Quinn Industrial Holdings directors and the attack on a TD in Leitrim are among the items on the agenda this evening. 

The investigation into the discovery of 39 bodies in a truck in Essex in England will also be discussed,
