The branch is dealing with a surge of surrendered and neglected animals, with "Pablo" the puppy being among them.
A neglected puppy around eight or nine weeks old is one of the latest arrivals at a Laois animal rescue as they appeal to people to become animal foster carers.
Laois SPCA is currently dealing with a surge of surrendered and neglected animals, with "Pablo" the puppy being among them.
Those interested in fostering or donating can visit the Laois SPCA website and state their preferences through an application.
Pablo was found as nothing more as a "bag of bones" on the Ballyfin Road in Portlaoise, and is recovering from ongoing skin and stomach issues while in the shelter's care.
