Laois Town Looking To Capitalise On Tourism Industry

Cllr. James Kelly says there's a lot of potential in Donaghamore and the surrounding area.

A Laois community is hoping to make its village a tourist destination. 

Independent Councillor James Kelly says Donaghamore has a number of attractions including a 19th Centurty Work House and a Vintage Museum. 

He also wants a genealogical office for the county as visitors looking to trace their ancestors have to travel to Tullamore to view records.
