Laois Wind Farm To Power IONITY EV Chargers Across Ireland

Seven locations across Ireland’s national road network will receive 48 ultra-fast EV charging points.

A Laois wind farm is partnering with an energy transition company to supply renewable power to EV chargers across Ireland.

IONITY, Europe’s leading high-power electric vehicle charging network, has entered into a corporate power purchase agreement with Pinergy, as they will supply renewable electricity to IONITY’s charging infrastructure across Ireland.

Under the agreement, 48 ultra-fast charging points will be installed at seven locations across the national road network.

Around six million kWh of renewable electricity will be supplied annually to IONITY’s Irish operations from Lirion Power’s wind farm.
