Midlands Woman Used The Lockdown To Learn To Read

She availed of the National Adult Literacy Service to advance her reading and writing abilities.

A 38-year-old woman living in Laois admits she felt useless at times before improving her literacy skills during lockdown. 

Linda Waldron contacted the National Adult Literacy Agency to further her ability to read and write, 22 years after sitting the Leaving Cert. 

She's telling her story so others won't wait as long as she did. 

Having completed the NALA course, Linda is now undertaking a digital skills programme in the hope of one final career change:
