A Laois woman is set to give a speech next week at COP29 - on the subject of climate smart chefs.
Laura Kirwan is originally from Borris-in-Ossory and has an educational background in nutrition -she now works as a Sustainability Lead with Dublin company, Nutritics.
The company develops software used in the food industry to manage allergens, nutrition and sustainability metrics.
The talk will focus on how the EU helped fund the software as a tool for chefs.
It's Laura's second time at Cop 29 after giving two talks last year- she says the conference is needed for accountability:
