Figures published today which show the response times of ambulances in the country have been labelled 'disturbing.'
The last published report - in review of the national Ambulance Service's operations - was 30 years ago.
That's according to the Director of the National Ambulance Service.
At today's Oireachtas Health Committee meeting, Robert Morton was questioned by Senator Martin Conway of Clare, on the publishing of the service's reports.
Offaly's Robert Morton says 1993 was the last time a full review of operations was published:
999 calls to the National Ambulance Service are growing exponentially.
By 2027, volumes are expected to increase by 107%.
That's according to the National Ambulance Service's Director, Offaly's Robert Morton, speaking to an Oireachtas Health Committee meeting today.
