A motorist - who's been using a learning permit for over 20 years - was arrested for dangerous driving, after detected travelling at 200 kilometres per hour on the M8 last night.
Another learner driver - who'd been on the road for three months - was caught doing 164 kilometers per hour on the M7 and issued with a Fixed Charge Notice.
Both vehicles were seized under the Clancy Amendment.
Seperately, in Portlaoise yesterday, a disqualified driver was arrested and charged to appear before the courts.
