Local Link Plans Major Expansion Of Midlands Bus Services

Local Link is proposing more bus services to Ballinasloe to better serve Portiuncula Hospital.

Local Link is aiming to provide a number of urgently needed bus services from Athlone across the Midlands.

The transport body is planning to provide more buses to Ballinasloe, to serve Portiuncula Hospital.

Roscommon town, and routes to serve both Mullingar and Roscommon hospital are also planned subject to funding in order to provide public transport to those in rural areas.

Independent Councillor for Athlone in the Roscommon municipal district Tony Ward says it's about time plans are put into action:
