A Low Carbon Centre of Excellence is opening this week in the midlands.
Laois Chamber of Commerce CEO, Caroline Hofman, has been appointed as it's new director.
The centre will help established businesses transition to a low carbon economy, as well as being a hub for economic activity and the development of new businesses.
Ms. Hofman says its vital to help local businesses in becoming more sustainable:
