Macra Na Feirme Call For Farmer's Right To Build On Own Land To Be Protected

President of Macra, and Laois' John Keane, says farmers need to reside close to where they work,

Macra na Feirme is calling for farmers' right to build on their own land to be protected.

It comes ahead of the release of the new Rural Housing Guidelines, which are expected to be published in October.

The farming organisation says there are issues across the country, where sons and daughters of farmers are being denied planning permission for a number of reasons.
