A man has died following a crash in Kildare.
The incident occured in Grangeclare West in Kilmeague around 8pm yesterday evening.
It's believed the car entered the Grand Canal, where a man in his 40s was recovered from the vehicle.
Following treatment from the Ambulance Service, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The scene is currently held for forensic examination and access along the canal in restricted.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, particularly those with dashcam footage, to come forward.
