A member of the Oireachtas transport committee is calling on Ryanair to provide flights free of charge to Ukrainian refugees in eastern Europe.

The Ambassador of Ukraine to Ireland says she's written to Ryanair about the airline increasing its fares for flights from Poland to Ireland.

Senator Gerry Horkan, who was speaking at a sitting of the EU affairs committee earlier, called on airline's chief executive, and Westmeath's Michael O'Leary, to do more to support refugees fleeing the war:
