The Online Retail Scheme was aimed at helping companies build an online presence during the pandemic.

Almost €700,000 has been granted to midlands businesses to help them set-up online.

Westmeath was the biggest beneficiary of the Online Retail Scheme receiving €447,000, while Laois got €112,000 and €119,000 was given out in Offaly.

The aim of the initiative is to help businesses develop an online presence and customer base.
