Children aged five to eight are eligible for free public transport with the launch of the new Child Leap Card.
The card allows free travel on all TFI services, including Dublin Bus, Luas, Irish Rail, and regional operators.
It is valid until the end of the month of the child's ninth birthday, after which a discounted Child Leap Card can be applied for, requiring ID from a parent and proof of the child’s age.
Children must tap on and off as usual and the card also acts as a ticket on services without validators.
