Laois, Offaly and Westmeath are included in a Status Yellow wind warning from 3pm to midnight on Saturday.

The Midlands will be under a nationwide Status Yellow wind warning on Saturday as Storm Dave arrives.

It's due to bring strong winds, severe gusts and coastal gales, with the alert in effect from 3pm until midnight.

Met Eireann is warning of the possibility of fallen trees, loose objects and difficult travelling conditions.

There's also a weather advisory in place over the Easter period, warning of possibly stormy conditions on Saturday.
