Driver shortages is seen as one of the reasons for buses being cancelled.
An Offaly Councillor is calling out the government about issues regarding route delays for school transport.
Sinn Féin rep Aoife Masterson feels that there isn't enough being done to tackle to problems with SEN and mainstream routes from Bus Eireann being delayed due to driver shortages.
Along with buses being cancelled, students also find themselves not qualifying for buses because they happen to be attending a school outside of their local area.
Ms Masterson believes the government is not fully prepared to provide for students in the country with additional needs.
She says there is a lack of organisation when it comes to planning for school transport each year:
