A man in his 70s has died after his van entered the River Shannon.
The incident occurred at the Banagher Marina at around 5.30pm yesterday.
Emergency services treated the driver of the van at the scene and he was taken to Ballinasloe Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses and asking anyone with camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
