According to the Residential Property Price Index, the most expensive houses in the region are in Westmeath at €262,000, followed closely by Laois at €260,000.
In Offaly, the median cost of a dwelling came in at €240,000.
Nationally, the highest price tags could be found in Dún-Laoghaire Rathdown at €626,000 and the lowest in Longford at €169,500.
