There's been another drop in the number of people being treated on trolleys.

The Midlands Regional Hospital Mullingar has the highest number of patients on trolleys in the country.

This morning's INMO trolley watch survey revealed 24 are waiting for a bed.

The total for the Midlands is 25, with one patient on a trolley in the Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Across Ireland's hospitals 167 are waiting, the next highest is University Hospital Cork and South Tipperary General which both have 17 on trolleys.
