Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise, Regional Hospital Mullingar and Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore are among those affected.
Visiting restrictions are being implemented to reduce the spread of these illnesses.
Patients are being asked to consider their options before attending the hospital, and management say those who present to the emergency department with non-urgent conditions could be waiting a long period to be seen.
