The service currently covers Laois and Offaly.
An LGBT+ group in the midlands say they receive hundreds of calls a year, many of them from older people in rural areas.
The LGBT+ project for the midlands is funded to cover only Laois and Offaly, but plans are being made to provide support to those in Westmeath.
The group was established in 2021 for adults to reduce isolation and build a sense of community and inclusion.
