The 36-year-old appeared before Athlone District Court today.
A midlands man charged with the manslaughter of Paul 'Babs' Connolly has been further remanded in custody.
36-year-old Sean Munnelly, of Irishtown, Athlone is due to appear before Athlone District Court again on February 1st.
Mr. Connolly died on August 13th of last year, following an incident on Church Street in Athlone.
He had been attending a stag party at the time.
