A midlands man says he's willing to fight until families like his are treated equally when it comes to surrogacy.

New legislation to regulate fertility treatment being considered by the Oireachtas will not change the status of families who have already had children through international surrogacy.

Gearóid Kenny Moore and his husband Seamus have had three children through a surrogate - but in Ireland, only one can be registered as a legal parent.

The Moneygall man, who's a spokesperson for the Irish Gay Dads group, says the laws, in their current form, aren't good enough:
