A Midlands MEP has been appointed as the Vice Chair of the new EU Housing Crisis Committee.
Ciaran Mullooly will step into the role in an effort to address housing issues in Ireland as well as other countries around Europe.
The committee is aiming to tackle housing shortages as well as barriers to construction and affordability issues.
