The state broadcaster has revealed it's annual report for 2025.

A Midlands MEP says that public confidence in RTE is still yet to fully recover following its payment scandals in recent years.

It follows the publication of the broadcaster's annual report for 2025, following the approval of Cabinet.

Director General Kevin Bakhurst topped the highest earners list with a salary of €250,000.

Ciaran Mullooly worked as a journalist for RTE for over 25 years before becoming a Midlands North-West MEP.

He says the country needs a strong public service broadcaster:
