The objection has come from Oliver Donoghue in Athlone.
A €100m redevelopment of St Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre is being stalled after an appeal by a Midlands based objector.
The appeal was lodged with An Coimisiún Pleanála just days after approval was granted by Dublin City Council.
Athlone objector Oliver Donoghue believes the eight storey scheme would harm the historic character and skyline of the area.
Developers maintain the revamp will modernise the centre, enhance retail space, and improve the overall visitor experience.
