The Ploughing will be moving on from Screggan next year.
Performers from across the Midlands will have the opportunity to showcase their talents on an international stage.
That's according to the National Ploughing Association's Assistant Managing Director, who says the championships offer a range of opportunities for local groups and performers.
The upcoming move to Rathangan is expected to create further opportunities for those looking to get involved in the event.
Every year, the championships welcome a variety of groups, performers and organisations who showcase their talents to the crowds attending the popular event.
The recently announced move creates an opportunity for new organisations and performers to get involved and become part of the annual championships.
Anna Marie McHugh highlighted that the National Ploughing Championships provides not only a "national stage" but also an "international stage" for those taking part.
She says it's a positive aspect of the championships and a nice opportunity to be able to provide to local people, giving them a chance to showcase what they have to offer to a much wider audience.
Ms McHugh also acknowledged that the event offers opportunities beyond performing, including initiatives for teams and organisations to get involved and raise funds.
She says these opportunities are particularly valuable, as fundraising can be challenging for many organisations in recent times.
