Shops and pharmacies around the midlands are selling out of facemasks and hand gel after the first case of COVID-19 in Ireland was confirmed on Sunday.
But Liam Butler from Haven Pharmacy in Birr says, while we should be vigilant towards hygiene to limit any further spread, there's no cause for over reaction or fear.
He says the outbreak is dominating conversation in the pharmacy, even though nobody was overly worried about the winter flu-season:
