Midlands Politicians Could Still Be Elected To The Seanad

Ballot papers for voting in the election must be returned by the March 31st deadline.

A number of Midlands politicians could still be elected to the Seanad despite the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

The Irish constitution requires elections to the upper house take place within 90 days of a General Election.

A number of election candidates and former TD's such as Kilbeggan's Kate O'Connell, Labour's Kildare-South rep Mark Wall, outgoing Offaly senator Pippa Hackett and ex Meath-West deputy Shane Cassels are amongst those hoping to be elected.

Ballot papers for voting in the election must be returned by the March 31st deadline.
