Midlands Restrictions Needed To Control Spread Of Virus

The Deputy Chief Medical Officer says it's important we take every precaution possible.

The Deputy Chief Medical Officer says the restrictions being introduced today serve as a reminder of how important it is that we take every precaution possible to prevent the spread of Covid -19. 

Dr Ronan Glynn says imposing a regional lockdown in Kildare, Laois and Offaly will help us to control the disease and will only need to be in place for two weeks. 

He says while today's decisions are not easy - we need to remember that no one is immune:
