A midlands secondary school has become the latest group to cancel a pre-planned trip to Italy.
Transition Year students from Coláiste Íosagáin in Portarlington were due to travel to Lake Garda, but after considering advice from the Department of Foreign Affairs and consulting with parents, that has been postponed.
Travel company USIT offered the school a partial refund of around €250 per student, around 40% of the original fee.
They will now use that refund to bring the students on a different excursion within Ireland.
