Midlands Student Being Tested For Coronavirus

The teenager had been on a school trip to Italy.

A Westmeath student is being tested for coronavirus after arriving home from Italy.

A group of 35 students and four staff from Castlepollard Community College travelled to north Italy on a midterm skiiing trip and came home through Milan Airport on Tuesday.

Northern regions of the country are experiencing Europe's largest outbreak of COVID-19.

Deputy Principal James McGrath says the school is in constant contact with the HSE and following the advice of doctors.
