Laois Offaly TD Carol Nolan will be running again in the forthcoming general election.
The Independent rep was elected to the Dáil for the first time after the general election of 2020.
Ms. Nolan, who received just under 8% of first preference votes, met and surpassed the quota after the 11th count to secure her election.
She says she will not align with any other independent party or candidate in a race that's expected to take place before Christmas.
