A midlands town will see a few changes for their Christmas celebrations this year.
Mountmellick is receiving funding from the Creative Climate Action Fund to replace their old Christmas tree in the town.
The new tree will have decorations made from local lace and energy efficient lighting.
Laois Offaly Fianna Fáil TD Séan Fleming says: "I want to compliment all those involved in this Mountmellick project for their skills and artistic talent to make this happen. I am already looking forward to visiting this new project in December."
